These whimsical tape art illustrations, created on 2 x 3.5 inch cards, use black or white masking tape. The images were cut with an Xacto knife or torn. Griffin was inspired by a design project developed by friend Gary Nelson.
If discipline altogether controls spontaniety, grace is entirely lost. Thus, superb accomplishment in any art form comes at the point where the beholder and the artist himself have the impression that the work is happening naturally, of itself.
